Melton Tackle Kona Turbo Stand Up Rods

Based on our best selling Kona Stand-Up rod series, the Melton Tackle Kona Turbo Stand Up rods feature the same action and power as our roller guide series with upgraded/braid ready Fuji Silicon-Nitride boat guides with a WT Winthrop roller tip top. These rods are light and powerful and super durable. Large marlin and tuna lures have considerable drag when being trolled, so we built these rods with stiff tips for hook-setting power. The oversized Fuji guides cast or troll well with both mono or super braid. Kona Stand-Up Rods are built on custom blanks with short aluminum butts and long hypalon foregrips for added leverage. The rods are built on composite graphite/glass blanks, offering additional performance for an unmatched angling experience. Lightweight, yet powerful, these rods are really sweet. The Kona KN 5080 Turbo is our best selling rod in this range and a perfect match with the Shimano Talica 50 Reel.
